Salaam'O'Salaam Hip Hop & Breakin’ Lab

Join Bobak and fellow dance artist Faraz 'RazzleRoc' Khan (SMAC 19 UK B-boy Championships winner in 2022 and 2023) alongside an exciting line-up of special guests for taster workshops and two weeks of intensive cyphering, breakin' and specialist Hip Hop training.

This is a space to be in community with others to talk about relevant issues in Hip Hop, train together and improvise whilst learning new skills and techniques that you could apply to your own future creative possibilities.

·    Hear from leading breakers of faith from the UK and overseas

·    Explore what it means to identify as Muslim and work in the arts sector

·    Learn about what support our partners Arts Council England, The Lowry, Salford, Kala Sangam and Amal can offer.

Expenses are available to cover your travel within Yorkshire and the lab will be documented, so you’ll come away with professional video and photography to record your experience.

The Salaam'O'Salaam Hip Hop & Breakin’ Lab is for anyone who identifies as male and/or non-binary, is able to commit to at least 6 out of the 10 sessions and is aged 16+.

Priority will be given to those who identify as Muslim or who have Muslim heritage.
