Project Partner: Tower Hamlets Schools Library Service Location: London Programme: Part of Amal Programme 2019/21
Over three years 900 children at 12 primary schools in Tower Hamlets worked with Muslim poet coaches to write their own poetry and perform it at finale slams at Rich Mix in East London and elsewhere. The poets received training from The Poetry Society, developing a core group of Muslim poets experienced in delivering workshops to this age group, giving the pupils strong Muslim role models.
