Project Partner: Freedom Studios Location: Bradford Programme: Part of Amal Programme 2019/20
Freedom Studios toured two new plays, Pashto Thriller by Aina J Khan and Number 4 by Asma Elbadawi, with an accompanying participation programme, into Bradford community centres providing a unique opportunity to engage with theatre that either resonated with the audiences or provided insights into the lives of others. The rich and positive response of audience members was captured in artwork they produced which was exhibited at arts venue, Kala Sangam. The project extended Freedom Studios reach into and way of working with Bradford’s communities and provided valuable experience for Muslim writers, actors and producers.
