Making workshops with Brighton’s Sudanese and wider communities, led by deaf British-Sudanese textiles artists Omeima Mudawi-Rawlings, explored memories of Sudan and the Nile, providing inspiration for Omeima’s River Runs Through installation (created with glass artist, Mike Barrett) and connecting Fabrica Gallery to a local community that was new to it.
