This fledgling, hugely successful and happy event platformed a wide array of Muslim artists, more and less established, from music, spoken word and poetry to theatre, storytelling and visual art, at Glasgow’s prestigious international contemporary arts centre, Tramway, with run-up events at other venues in Edinburgh and Glasgow. The festival brought the richness of Muslim creative arts into the mainstream of Scotland’s cultural life.
