To mark the opening of a unique zawiya (Sufi centre) in East London and reach out to all its local communities, as well as provide opportunities to new and established artists, an online exhibition, workshops on Islamic art, poetry and portraiture and cultural evenings took place platforming the work of over 40 artists of different religions and other backgrounds. In-person tours of the zawiya also took place as part of London Open House. The art, music and poetry showcased helped break down misconceptions about Islam and created a space for creative collaboration.
