Over nine months, hosted at Bradford Central Mosque, local Muslims have been on a journey to bring the ancient art of Quranic Illumination to Bradford. Guided by artist and illuminator Mahmud Manning, 10 people from Bradford and its regions have developed illuminated pages using gold, gouache and paper.
All the final pieces are showing at Kala Sangam Arts Centre in Bradford in the gallery until September (details below). Don’t forget to leave a message in our feedback box at the venue. Your feedback plays a significant role in supporting our work in Bradford as we continue to work towards changing the narrative of Muslims in the UK to one that is confident, diverse and just.
