Three Muslim women community ambassadors were recruited form the local area to co-design all elements of a programme wrapped around three exhibitions at this space in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, a neighbourhood of high deprivation with a Muslim majority population. This facilitated art and poetry workshops for adults and families that felt relevant to their participants and helped position Ort Gallery as a supportive and inclusive space for Muslim as well as non-Muslim audiences.
