Writing poems isn’t just for grown-ups – even little ones can create their own poetry in this lively, fun and fully interactive workshop with the poet Sabrina Mahfouz. Come and discover the links between our own familiar world of normal experience and the fantastic world of Arabian folk tales and magical stories. As we interweave the everyday and the extraordinary, forming poems of our very own, be prepared for the magic carpet of words to carry us all off to distant lands of the imagination!
Sabrina Mahfouz was raised in London and Cairo. Her work includes the plays Chef, With a Little Bit of Luck, Clean, Battleface and The Love I Feel is Red; and the poetry collection How You Might Know Me. She received a Fringe First Award for Chef and won a Sky Arts Academy Poetry Award.
