After a two year hiatus, the London Palestine Film Festival (LPFF) returns with a diverse selection of rare and popular shorts, features and documentaries. Taking place November 16 to 28 in venues across London, the festival presents a crucial platform that connects audiences with international filmmakers with a focus on Palestine-related issues. The rich program includes renowned thinkers and artist such as Mai Masri, Kamal Aljafari, Eyal Weizman and Bella Freud among many others.
This anticipated edition of the LPFF will be screening over 30 films in cinemas (Barbican, Curzon Soho, ICA, Pheonix, Rio) with the final three days of un-ticketed, free screenings at SOAS, University of London. Reoccurring themes among them are stories from Gaza’s last two wars (2009 and 2014) and the issue of political prisoners. Artist films, imagined futures, history through music, animated epics and restored historical films also feature.
